Here are some images of Sharp Tailed Grouse taken this past weekend at the Upper Souris Wildlife Refuge, North Dakota.

This is an image taken a couple of weeks ago. This owl continues to hang out in the area. I believe that it is an adult who is too young to pair up.

I wanted to do something a little more conceptual. Here is what I came up with.

Instead of shopping today I went out to the off-leash dog park in South Minneapolis to see if the Barred Owl could be found. Here are a couple of shots from today.

I was up before the sun with an eye on taking some early morning landscape shots. The Big Horn Sheep are not yet in the rut, but they appear to be gathering. I think I’m going to miss it by a week.

The highlight from today was being able to photograph Mule Deer. Here are a few shots including some of rutting behavor.
